Three spaces.
House of Surrender, Ubud
Each one holds a different kind of work. All three were made for work that asks for trust. Take one for an afternoon, or all three for your retreat.
Brahma Shala
- Setting
- Indoor
- Holds
- 36, comfortably
The largest space, and the heart of the house.
Dark timber overhead and underfoot, white drapes on every side, a carved door open to the garden. Big enough for ceremony and movement. Quiet enough for the moment after.
The red and gold in some of our photographs was dressed for an embodiment retreat held here.
Kali Shala
- Setting
- Open air
- Holds
- 16, comfortably
A pavilion in the garden with white curtains on all sides.
Draw them for privacy, or tie them back and let the green in. Small by design, for groups that want to stay close. Sixteen people fit comfortably.
Shivatri Temple
- Setting
- Indoor, main house
- Holds
- 26, comfortably
White pillars, floor cushions and an easy, casual feel.
It sits inside the main house. Good for circles, teaching days and the smaller gatherings that do not need a stage.
The grounds
The spaces are only part of it. What happens between sessions matters too.

- The pool
- For the hours between sessions, and for the nights when the lights come up in the water.
- The open field
- Open ground under the sky, for whatever your work needs.
- The gardens
- Paths to walk when someone needs a minute alone.
- Kitchen and dining
- So the whole group can eat together. Catering from our kitchen, or bring your own.
